Being a witness of Jesus is meant to be a joy-filled everyday activity of every one of His followers. Does that describe your experience as a witness? Too many evangelism approaches and programs make witnessing into a burdensome task – one that is filled with guilt, fear, and anxiety. They don’t mean to, but they do because they are based in the Law. Every One His Witness, the Synod’s new evangelism program, is based in the Gospel. No guilt, no fear, no angst. Just a beautiful invitation to share in the joy of Jesus as you share His love, joy, and peace with the people in your everyday life. Come and discuss witnessing as Jesus meant it to be and learn how to bring Every One His Witness to your congregation, circuit, or region at no cost to participants.
Presenter: Mark Wood
Rev Mark A. Wood serves in the LCMS Office of National Mission as the director of the Witness & Outreach Ministry and the director of the LCMS Revitalization Initiative. In these roles he identifies, develops, and supports resources for assisting congregations with improving how they invite, welcome, and receive people from outside of the church and for equipping Lutherans to be effective witnesses of Jesus in their everyday lives. When they’re not on the road doing workshops for congregations, Mark and his wife Mary Ellen reside in Byrnes Mill, MO. They have five adult children, five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
