You may have heard of Policy Governance or use or know of several LCMS churches that use “policy-based governance”. You will want to attend if you want to know more about “policy-based governance” and whether or not it is the same as John Carver’s Policy Governance model. You also will want to attend if you are frustrated with some aspect of “policy-based governance” and want to know how it can be improved. This presentation will discuss the ten principles of Policy Governance, explain what the “policies” cover and why they are structured the way they are, and evaluate “policy-based governance” in light of the ten principles of Policy Governance.
